Muriwai Arts Trail – Nov 20/21

  The second Muriwai Arts Trail is fast approaching and activity is heating up in terms of organisation. Like last time, this is going to be a fantastic local event, staged for the benefit of our very talented resident artists and the community at large. Don’t miss it! 

The main exhibition at Houghtons Bush Camp will incorporate an incredible array of works from local painters, sculptors, photographers, jewellers, weavers and ceramicists, as well as great food and coffee on site. We have seven fabulous open studios for you to visit.

Just a reminder that we are counting down to the second Muriwai Arts Trail – now just a few short months away. We have over 50 local artists taking part. Approximately half of the participants are painters, and the remaining half include sculptors, photographers, jewellers, weavers and ceramicists. So it promises to be an exciting and varied showcase of the artistic talent we have here at Muriwai!

We are a relatively small committee (of 5 people), pulling together a huge event so any help would be appreciated. Call us if you want to be involved, in particular we would love to hear from anyone who has access to the following items (available either at a reduced rate, or even better, on loan / free):
• Lighting • Plinths • Partitions • Display cabinets • Fixings (hooks /wire etc)
